Knights of Columbus, Council 12120
The St. Thomas Knights of Columbus first met in December 1997. The Council charter was presented in June 1998. The Knights of Columus is the largest family-oriented fraternal organization in the United States, and is devoted to the values of charity, unity and patriotism.
What do we do? We support a variety of projects and charitable programs in Freeport, the Diocese, and the State.
Over $60,000 has been raised for local organizations that assist those with disabilities. This includes Malcolm Eaton, Provena St. Joseph, and the Special Olympics
Assist at the Special Olympics in Freeport and Rockford
Sponsored a local baseball team
Raised funds to purchase the altar for the Blessed Sacrament Chapel
Maintain the Catholic information pamphlet rack
Hosted our Freeport pastors at social evenings, had picnics for our members, and dinners at local restaurants for Knights and their families
Supports Haitian Relief, Parish Youth activities and scholarships thru fundraisers such as Pancake Breakfasts, Dinners, and raffles.
Many members actively serve in our parish and community
